I agree totally with your philosophy, however, my document default is a .docx and I always have to tell it to save as a .doc.  I can&#039;t get it to default.  Likewise, I HATE the fact that 2007 documents default with double spacing or wider spacing than single.  I thought there was a way to set the default as a 2003 document but that too, doesn&#039;t seem to stick!!  Aahhh chalk it up to improved technology....oh and don&#039;t let me forget how much SLOWER it runs too!!  Thanks for letting me vent.</description>
